Strainer

Clean Flow Starts Here.

Strainer

The Strainer / Filter is a commonly used product installed in pipelines in Residential / Commercial / Industrial Applications to block all types of dirt and suspended particles.

What is unique with the Varie Strainers(Easy Clean) is that all these come with a transparent filter cap and an easy to flush feature which helps to remove the dirt easily without opening the strainer.

Before reaching your home, office or factory water collects foreign particles / dirt from various stages of water distribution like Exposed Municipal Pipes (mud / sand, small stones) ; plastered walls of underground and overhead tanks (sand & cement); old corroded / rusted pipes (scales)

Strainer - Features

  • Filters out particles as small as 200 microns (400 micron is standard)
  • Full Bore Design of YN9 gives uncompromised flow to showers etc.
  • Lead free UPVC body(for YN9)- so no corrosion and most safe for drinking water.
  • Filter Mesh is of SS316 / SS 304 and comes in different of 200, 400 & 800 micron. (See specification table)
  • Flushes out dirt particles at mere turn of a knob eliminating cost of plumber/ technician for routine cleaning (optional-available in selected models).
  • See – through transparent filter cap gives visual indication of when it is time-up for cleaning the filter(optional-available in selected models).
  • Allows online cleaning. No need to shut off the water supply during cleaning.
  • Options of body are Brass, Bronze (G.M), C.I with corrosion resistant powder coating inside and outside to prevent rusting. (See specification table)

Strainer - Application

  • For Pump, Water Meter and other equipment install immediately before same.
  • For individual Bathroom/Kitchen line
Install Easy Clean in the horizontal pipeline outside window (ideal). If not, install in vertical line.
  • For Overhead/ Loft Tank,
Install EasyClean at outlet line (but at least 1 meter below the outlet pipe)

Strainer Variants

Solution to all dirt related problems.

The ECS is a bucket design filter in sizes of 15 to 80 mm.
Whereas the variants ECS –B & ECS-G are mostly sold in Building and Industrial projects, the ECS –G has a big advantage of a bronze body plus the powder coating which is hugely favored in coastal areas where atmospheric corrosion is high.

The ECS BP is meant for the retail market which comes with a spanner & user manual in an attractive 4 colour packing

Varie strainer YB8 product on grey color background.Varie’s YN9 is a UPVC ‘Y’ design filter specially designed to give uncompromised flow. Its LEAD FREE UPVC body makes it corrosion free and safe for drinking water.

Available in 15mm and 20mm.

Varie’s YSB8 is a Forged brass Y strainer with 800 micron mesh.

Available in 15mm to 50mm.

Varie’s LS1 is the world’s first ‘ELBOW’ design filter specially designed to minimize the high pressure drop dP inherent in all filters. (dP is almost the same as the 90 Elbow joint that it replaces and hence can be called a zero pressure drop strainer ).

Sizes 40mm to 80mm are in GunMetal (bronze) with C.I options on request.
Sizes 100mm to 300mm are in UPVC with socket end connections – a super cost saver.

The ‘ Y ’design filter -one of the most liberally sized amongst other Y design filters in the market. This is for sizes – 50mm to 300mm

ECS Y G is Bronze body with EasyCleaning filter attachment for most durability if price isn’t a prime concern. Size 100mm & 150mm

ECS YC P has a C.I. body with EasyCleaning filter attachment and a corrosion resistant, food grade powder coating which helps prevents rusting / corrosion ensuring better life compared to other conventional C.I strainers. Size 100mm to 300mm.

YS3 are CI body strainers(DI optional) with coating without EasyCleaning attachmen. Size 50mm to 300mm.
